Most people recognize Kitty Craft for her now iconic Beats and Breaks from the Flower Patch, but this second album was released during her original time in the seat of Kitty Craft before coming back in 2020. Catskills is a much more mellow version of the bold and colorful Beats and Breaks but has a lot more variety in sound and style. None of these songs have the same pop as anything on Beats and Breaks with the exception of How Long Can This Go On? Catskills still feels very original for the time it was made as its' soft Twee Pop sound and extensive sampling structures have aged very well by today's standards. It is a nice addition to Kitty Craft's small but tight discography and worth checking out.
